The greeting for the eveningtime in Oshiwambo literally says, "did it become white for you?" What really happens is that everything fades away but the sky, so it's like the world of light above, and the world of people bumping into things below. Then the stars come out and the whiteness reverses, moonlight and the milky way reflecting off the sand.
The SXML texinfo format has been a big win. I coded up output for html and plain text, and started to integrate texinfo across guile. This can lead to much more literate programming. I'm pleased.
